Greenhous Upper Heyford is looking for a thorough, reliable and detail-focused QC Operative to join our team.

As a QC Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring vehicles meet the required quality standards before they move on to the next stage of the process. You will carry out detailed checks, identify any issues or defects and ensure that vehicles are presented to the required standard.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Hours: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 42.5 hours per week.

Salary: £12.71 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed quality control inspections on vehicles.

• Check vehicles to ensure work has been completed to the required standard.

• Identify and accurately record any defects, damage or areas requiring further attention.

• Complete QC checks and documentation accurately using the relevant systems.

• Take photographs and provide supporting information where required.

• Liaise with vehicle preparation, workshop and other teams to ensure identified issues are addressed.

• Re-check vehicles following remedial work to ensure they meet the required standards.

• Ensure all vehicles are processed in accordance with company procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and outcomes.

• Escalate any significant or recurring issues to the relevant manager.

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the business.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a quality control, vehicle inspection, automotive or similar role would be advantageous.

• A good knowledge and interest in vehicles.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or issues.

• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.

• Confident using IT systems and accurately recording information.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.

• The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

• A proactive and reliable approach to work.

• The ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.

• A full UK driving licence.
